Due to the still popular fame of the legendary NASCAR driver, and GALAXIE driver Glenn "Fireball" Roberts, Galaxieland is going to maintain the official website for the famous Florida driver. The official website is www.fireball22.com and maintenance will begin in the near future.

Memory Lane Auto Parts To List Galaxie Parts On Galaxieland
Memory Lane Auto Parts LLC of Randleman, North Carolina, formally Memory Lane Used Auto Parts of Plant City, Florida has began listing 14 years of accruing FOMOCO parts on the GALAXIELAND website. This has began July 25th, 2012. After nearly 30 years of gathering Galaxie parts, all of the Ford parts that can be used on 1959-74 Full size Fords, Galaxies, LTDs, and Full size Mercurys will be posted with photos, when possible. This has began a never ending process to place all the parts in the MLAP LLC inventory. Click on the "Galaxie Parts" tab.

The 24th annual Randleman NASCAR Day is scheduled for Saturday, October 27th, 2012. It is free to the public for viewing.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE NASCAR HALL OF FAME CLASS OF 2013
The NASCAR HoF voting panel began it's day of discussion and vote the morning of May 23rd, 2012. After the vote was over, there was a TIE between two of the 2013 nominees. The first four were Herb Thomas, Leonard Wood, Rusty Wallace, and Cotton Owens. HOWEVER, legendary drivers Buck Baker and Glenn "Fireball" Roberts were even votes. A recall and re-vote was required of the whole panel. After the "retake", Buck Baker became the 5th and and final 2013 inductee. It was was an honor to make it to the final "6".. and to lose to Buck Baker, was an honorable loss. Maybe next year. THANK YOU for all your support.
GALAXIELAND is EXPANDING. No longer covering the Florida area only, "Scenic" Galaxieland is now based out of the heart of NC. To increase GALAXIE member contacts and events further north in the southeast, Galaxieland is forming a group in the NORTHERN NC area, including WV, and VA. This is a SCENIC GALAXIELAND.
